Taemi Horikawa, DVM

Dr. Taemi Horikawa completed her veterinary education at the University of California, Davis, followed by a rotating internship in Pittsburgh, PA and a comparative ophthalmology residency in Rocklin, CA. After her board certification, she has practiced and lectured in Northern California and Western Australia.
Dr. Horikawa is thrilled to be back in California and call the Santa Cruz/Aptos area her new home. She enjoys all aspects of ophthalmology but has special interests in minimally invasive procedures as well as cataract and glaucoma surgeries. She has had the pleasure of working closely with local wildlife and small animal rescue groups and SPCA throughout her career and is looking forward to serving the Santa Cruz/Aptos community.
Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, hiking, windsurfing, salsa dancing, gardening, and spending time with her family.
